Substantiation of this Report may be based upon my own investigations at Rutland Gate, which began in the autumn of 2014,[1] [2] and which continued, albeit sporadically.[3] [4] [5]  Further substantiation is minimal, at best; there are no published reports for Green, Jefferson, Rock, or Walworth Counties on the BFRO website, [6] although two reports each for adjacent Dane and Waukesha Counties are available. [7][8], a cursory review of same suggests considerable activity in this region.

The combination of physical, visual, audible and/or olfactory events described in this Report are:

  1. The impression of a large, dark figure in the pine trees, north of the carpark;
  2. The long, horizontally-suspended branch, still in situ;
  3. Ditto the twisted, upright tree at the fork in the cycling paths;
  4. Ditto the twisted, upright American Beech (Fagus grandifolia);
  5. The height of the twisted portions of both;
  6. The large, tripod-type branch assembly;
  7. The answering wood-knocks, in response to our own;
  8. The loud, bipaedal footsteps which approached us through the ravine;
  9. The sharply twisted American Beech in the dingle.

These behaviours, and the history of my own experiences, may be considered sufficient to suggest the presence of EC [9] at Rutland Gate, in the autumn of 2016.

A number of subjective events also occurred.  While these cannot be considered conclusive evidence, neither should they be discounted. Although it is reasonable to review the impact of non-objective stimuli in this Report, such effects, while personally quite vivid and at times overwhelming, are nonetheless nearly impossible to substantiate with any measure of certainty.
