Substantiation of this Report is minimal at best; I do not know of any other persons conducting field work in this specific portion of northern Michigan.  Some corroboration, however, may be provided by my own field work at Area C, which began in earnest in the late spring of 2014[1] [2] and which has continued, albeit at intervals.[3] [4] [5] [6]

The combination of physical, visual, audible and/or olfactory events described in this Report are as follows:

  1. The strange, shuffling noises heard outside the rest-house;
  2. The attempt of someone…or something…to open the rest-house door;
  3. The sudden, chilling cold;
  4. The strangely warm doorknob, which then became cold again;
  5. The loud, banging noise, heard to the southwest;
  6. The loud, scuffling noise of something moving in the brush;
  7. The loud, snapping sounds heard to the southwest, repeated twice;
  8. The loud, banging sound, heard once again to the southwest.

These behaviours, and the history of my own experiences, may be considered sufficient to suggest the presence of EC [7] at Area C, in the late spring of 2016.

An unusual number of subjective events also occurred.  While these cannot be considered conclusive evidence, neither should they be discounted. Although it is reasonable to review the impact of non-objective stimuli in this Report, such effects, while personally quite vivid and at times overwhelming, are nonetheless nearly impossible to substantiate with any measure of certainty.
