Substantiation of this Encounter is considerable; there are numerous, published accounts of EC in Escambia County, and throughout the Florida Panhandle.[1] [2] [3]

The combination of physical, visual, audible and/or olfactory events described in this Report are as follows:

  1. The single, loud wood-knock, heard when I first arrived;
  2. The visual observation of a dark, shadow-like figure in the woods;
  3. The visual observation of a pair of gleaming, yellow eyes;
  4. The sound of loud, crashing, bipaedal footsteps in the brush;
  5. The sound of a loud, heavy branch snapping in two;
  6. The horrid, foul odour noticed several minutes later.

These behaviours, and the record of other accounts in this area, may be considered sufficient to suggest the presence of EC[4] at this location in Escambia County, in the summer of 2015.

A number of subjective events also occurred.  While these cannot be considered conclusive evidence, neither should they be discounted. Although it is reasonable to review the impact of non-objective stimuli in this Report, such effects, while personally quite vivid and at times overwhelming, are nonetheless nearly impossible to substantiate with any measure of certainty.
