Substantiation of this Report is minimal at best; however, there are some published accounts regarding EC activity in this area of southern Wisconsin. Although the BFRO (Bigfoot Field Researchers’ Organisation) has no published reports for Jefferson County, there are several from those adjacent, including Waukesha, Dane, and Dodge Counties.[1] Linda S Godfrey, the celebrated author and investigator, has documented several EC sightings in Jefferson County from the 1960s.[2] Additionally, the W-Files website includes a 1992 sighting on Highway 106,[3] which passes east-west through Jefferson County via Fort Atkinson and Lake Koshkonong.

The combination of physical, visual, audible and/or olfactory events described in this Report are as follows:

  1. The strange, crying noises heard to the southeast;
  2. The eerie quiet in the woods, after I had whistled;
  3. The repeated pair of wood-knocks, heard to the southwest;
  4. The forked, suspended branch observed in the gap in the brush;
  5. The appearance of bipaedal prints in the prairie grass, coming up from the woods.

These behaviours, in context with other, reported accounts, may be considered sufficient to suggest the presence of EC [4] at Aztalan State Park, in the summer of 2013.

A number of subjective events also occurred. While these cannot be considered conclusive evidence, neither should they be discounted. Although it is reasonable to review the impact of non-objective stimuli in this Report, such effects, while personally quite vivid and at times overwhelming, are nonetheless nearly impossible to substantiate with any measure of certainty.
