Substantiation of this Report is minimal, at best; as indicated previously, there are no published reports of encounters and/or sightings for Van Buren County on the BFRO website.[1] However, a 1990 report of an encounter near Decatur has been posted to the Bigfoot Encounters website.[2]

Further substantiation of this Report may be provided by my own field work at Watson Hill Farm, beginning in 2007[3] and continuing, albeit at random,[4] through the date of this Report; I did not return to the area until the summer of 2011, and then for the last time.

The combination of physical, visual, audible and/or olfactory events described in this Report are as follows:

  1. The loud, heavy stomping noise heard in the woods, as I approached through the meadow;
  2. The large area of tamped-down grass on the north side of the swamp forest;
  3. The numerous deer bones found scattered upon same;
  4. The sighting of a grey, shadowy figure to the west of the swamp forest;
  5. The second sighting of a similar grey, shadowy figure to the west of the swamp forest.

Based upon these behaviours, and the history of my own experiences, it is reasonable to suggest the presence of EC[5] at Watson Hill Farm.

A number of subjective events also occurred. While these cannot be considered conclusive evidence, neither should they be discounted. Although it is reasonable to review the impact of non-objective stimuli in this Report, such effects, while personally quite vivid and at times overwhelming, are nonetheless nearly impossible to substantiate with any measure of certainly.
