FIELD REPORT 05.17.2008 ADDENDUM 02

The recent recovery of many of my original field photographs (but not all of them, sadly enough), taken at Salt Fork State Park in May 2008, and therefore pertinent to this Report, has enabled me to review same in greater detail; new analyses have suggested some startling possibilities.

To open either the Report or the Addendum, simply double-click on the words “FIELD REPORT” or “ADDENDUM” above, and the PDF file will open for you; you may then download the file to your own computer, or read here, at your leisure.

Substantiation of this Report, and the behaviours described therein, may be provided, in part, by various reports published on the BFRO website,[1] [2]and others. Nonetheless, a cursory view of sightings at Salt Fork State Park suggests considerable activity in this area, both historic[3] and contemporary.[4]

The combination of physical, visual, audible and/or olfactory events described in this Report are as follows:

  1. The relocation of the picnic table, pushed through the thick grass and mud;
  2. Numerous, possible footprints observed in the muddy ground near the picnic table;
  3. The flattened areas of grass, suggesting a bedding-down area;
  4. The graham-crackers, which were set on the picnic table and which disappeared in the night;
  5. The dark, head-like shape which popped up from the brush, and then disappeared again;
  6. The possible footprint observed on SR-57;
  7. The pancake-shaped scat pile observed nearby;
  8. The upright, slanted-branch assembly observed on the hillside;
  9. The clearly defined path, skirting the edge of the hill.

These factors, alone or in combination, may be considered sufficient to confirm the presence of EC, both at Parker Road and at SR-57. Further developments at the campground, the adjoining woods, and/or the number of visitors thereto, may have affected same; I have only returned to this area a few times since then. Further investigation may provide additional information regarding possible habitation in this area, either permanent or itinerant.

A number of subjective events also occurred at Parker Road; while these cannot be considered conclusive evidence of EC, they cannot be discounted in their entirety. Nonetheless, they may be considered as peripheral, and therefore possibly pertinent, to the physical, visual, audible and olfactory events outlined above.
