Substantiation of this Report, and the behaviours described therein, may be provided by six reports published on the BFRO website; although I did not realise it at the time, several sightings occurred in Michigan in 2003:

  1. Arenac County; November 2003.[1]
  2. Hillsdale County; October 2003.[2]
  3. Iosco County; March or April 2003.[3]
  4. Mason County; October 2003 through December 2004.[4]
  5. Ogemaw County; November 2003.[5]
  6. Presque Isle County; July 2003.[6]

Of these, it is curious that four occurred in the autumn, one in the spring, and one in the summer.

Further substantiation of this Report may also be made by my subsequent investigations and fieldwork at Area F, beginning in 2012 and continuing to the present day (see published Reports for this location).

However, it must also be stated that neither Kyle nor I made a direct, visual sighting to confirm the source of the sounds that we heard. Nor could I clearly identify whom, or what alarmed me at the pond, to call Kyle back from it. In addition, Kyle has never answered my questions as to why he pulled me back from the woods; his only response was that he did not feel safe.

There is no direct, corresponding proof for this Report; I did not record the sounds I heard. I did not think to do so; I had never done so before, although I have made several recordings since then. While my friend’s corroboration of these events may be considered of some value, it is not proof, merely anecdotal.
